Day at the Palace

Crown Princess Victoria returned from New York City last week and resumed her regular meetings at the palace. This morning she attended, along side the King, the regularly held Cabinet Meetings. Cabinet Meetings began in 1974 and are held 3-4 times a year. The purpose of these cabinet meetings is for the Ministers of Policy Initiatives can give updates to the King as well as answer any questions he may have. Victoria attends because she is the next Head of State and it is important for her to be up-to-date on the things that are happening within the government.

Victoria and the King also met in private with Anna Ekström, the Minister of Education, to hear about her initiatives in the education field.
