Crown Princess Couple arrive in Switzerland ahead of IOC Vote
Today, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel arrived in Lausanne, Switzerland ahead of the IOC vote tomorrow.
It was a quick stop at the hotel before International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach welcomed Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Lofven prior to a bilateral meeting on the Stockholm-Are 2026 candidacy for the Winter Olympics Games, at the Olympic Museum. Tomorrow the IOC will elect in a final vote the host city for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The two remaining host cities in the election process are Stockholm-Åre, Sweden, and Milan–Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
In an interview with Gamebirds.com, the couple said they felt that Sweden would be “able to deliver the kind of Games [the IOC] have asked for in the first place, thinking about Agenda 2020 and talking about an economic and social and even environmentally sustainable Games”. Their presence, along was the Prime Minister, was hoped to show the 85 IOC members Sweden’s seriousness and commitment to hosting in 2026.
In the evening, there was a dinner where the delegation mingled together.
For this occasion, she wore her Camilla Thulin Ravenna Dress in Light Blue which matched her Valentino Rockstud Bag beautifully. The Crown Princess matched the blue ensemble with jewlery pieces from Dulong Fine Jewelry. She selected her gold Esme earrings which were the perfect base for the Piccolo pendants. On her wrist her Kharisma Diamond Bracelet could be seen amid her usual stack of silver bracelets from Sophie by Sophie and Ebba Brahe. She also selected to travel with her Carl Edmond Granit watch. Although photos are limited, we spot what appear to be new dark leather pumps.
For the evening event, the photos are limited but we spot the Crown Princess wearing her custom H&M Conscious Collection skirt.
