Opening of the General Synod in Uppsala
Today, the King and Crown Princess Victoria attended the Opening of the General Synod in Uppsala.
The General Synod is Sweden’s largest religious governing body with 251 members who come from all throughout Sweden. It is annual event and almost always is attended by a member of the Swedish Royal Family.
The Synod is held in 2 sessions, the first being held 1-4 October and the second 18-20 November. There are a total of 47 different motions being discussed this year (full list can be seen here). The church meeting decides on issues that are about the Church Order (the Swedish Church's regulations) and other issues that are of significance to the entire Swedish Church, such as the Church Handbook and the Psalm Book.
For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria recycled her maroon Camilla Thulin Montana dress which she paired with belt and earrings. She wore her Rizzo pumps in bordeaux and debuted a new headpiece also in the same color. She opted for her Epoch Lady Chronograph watch and gold Engelbert knot bracelet.
She carried a newly acquired bordeaux leather clutch, first seen last week.
